Customization

Frequently asked questions in this category
Yes. You may create your artwork using any online or offline design platform, provided the finished file meets the printing requirements for the selected product. Begin with a document sized to the exact finished dimensions. Keep important text and design elements away from the edges, and make sure all wording is large enough to remain legible when printed. Export the completed design at 300 DPI resolution.
Artwork should be created at the exact product size and supplied as a high-quality PDF or other accepted print-ready file at 300 DPI resolution. Text should be converted to outlines, or all fonts should be embedded so the appearance does not change when the file is opened. Keep text and important details within the safe printing area, and only use the number of ink colors allowed.
No, we require a clear margin all around. Background colors, borders and design elements should remain within the printable area unless the product specifications state otherwise.
Yes. You can provide a sketch, photo, existing design or written instructions showing the information and fields you need. The design team can use these materials to prepare a professional layout. Include clear instructions about the size, ink colors, and quantity needed, so we can enter a proof order. Supplying an organized list of your requirements helps reduce revisions and delays.

You may have found a product on our website that you wanted to customize and found yourself limited in the choices available. If that is the case, we can often create a custom product from scratch.

Reasons to order a custom product:

  • 1) You would like to change one of the pre-designed forms on our website
  • 2) You have your own artwork
  • 3) Our pre-set products do not offer enough flexibility for what you would like to achieve
  • 4) You would like more ink colors than our pre-set products offer
  • 5) You would like to customize the area that is personalized on a pre-set product

What are the steps? Keep in mind that custom products are not necessarily more expensive than our pre-designed products.

We need to know at least three of the following before we can provide you with a quote:

  • 1) The paper size of the final product
  • 2) The ink color(s) to be used
  • 3) The options needed (consecutive numbering, perforations, etc...)
  • 4) The quantities needed
  • 5) Whether you are looking for the closest match or the most cost-efficient option

Quote requests can be emailed to [email protected] and will be answered within 24-48 hours. Files may be attached if more precise information is required.

We provide FREE graphic design up to 3 distinct ink colors.

In order for us to print something with your design, we need to know EXACTLY what needs to be printed. The only two ways for us to work without artwork are the following:

  • 1) Provide a rough draft of what you would like, prepared in Word or Excel (do specify that the file is a rough draft if uploading it during checkout)
  • 2) Print out an existing form and mark the changes needed. Upload that file during checkout or scan and email it to [email protected], along with an order number if applicable

We offer FREE graphic design as long as there are no more than 3 ink colors used. Full color orders do not include free graphic design.

A custom imprint allows you to personalize the designated print area of a pre-printed product with much more flexibility than the standard online customization options.

While the product itself and the available print area remain fixed, the content within that area can be customized to include:

  • Your own fonts and font sizes
  • Logos, pictures, or other graphics
  • Custom text placement and alignment
  • Multiple lines of text
  • Bullet points
  • Lines and other design elements
  • Special characters and symbols

This option is useful when the standard online preview does not provide the font, layout, or formatting you need.

Because the product is pre-printed, a custom imprint does not allow changes to the existing product design or printing outside the designated imprint area. It simply provides greater design flexibility within the area and ink color(s) available for customization.

To create a custom imprint, you first need to know the exact area available on the product you want to customize.

In most cases, the best way to obtain this information is to email [email protected] and include the item number or product name.

Once you have the imprint dimensions, create your artwork to fit within that area at the correct size. Alternatively, we can create it for you upon request in the "Additional Instructions" box during checkout.

Your custom imprint may include:

  • Logos or pictures (in ink color(s) available
  • Custom fonts and font sizes
  • Text alignment and placement
  • Multiple lines of text
  • Bullet points
  • Lines and other graphic elements
  • Special characters and symbols
