Choosing the Right Tax Forms
Choose the form you need
Start with the type of information you need to report. Common forms include W-2 forms for employee wages and 1099 forms for various types of nonemployee and other reportable payments.
Determine how many recipients you have
Tax forms are available in different package quantities. When comparing packages, check the number of recipients each package supports rather than simply counting the number of sheets included.
Check the required copies
A tax form may require separate copies for federal filing, state filing, the recipient, and your records. Requirements vary by form and may also vary by state.
Choose the correct format
We offer laser forms in different layouts, as well as bulk forms, kits, and other formats. Check your accounting or tax software requirements before ordering software-compatible forms.
Not sure how many copies you need?
State filing requirements can vary. Review our State Requirements Chart and the current tax form instructions before selecting your forms.
